A consultant nephrologist and transplant physician in Baghdad, Iraq, graduated from the University of Babylon and completed internal medicine and nephrology fellowships at Baghdad’s Medical City Hospital. He was awarded a fellowship at the Royal London Hospital, the UK, by the European Renal Association. Joined the European Society Organ Transplantation (ESOT) educational pathway and earned a UEMS certificate in transplantation medicine. The main area of practice is transplantation and glomerular disease.Dr. Ali is the head of the medical department and nephrology tutor at the nephrology and renal transplantation center-Baghdad and the chair of the scientific committee of the Iraqi society of nephrology and renal transplantation. He is a member of the International Society of Nephrology and the ESOT - Social Media education teams. In addition, he is Iraq’s representative at the Middle East Society of organ transplantation (MESOT) and is a member of the Transplantation Society-Early Career Members Committee.
