Session description:
WKD 2023 theme is Kidney Health for All – Preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable! This session will focus on how the increase of disastrous event impacts the living conditions of kidney disease patient. It will also assess the needs for society as a whole, including policymakers, health care services, governments, industry, as well as people living with kidney disease and their carers, to be prepared to avoid any disruption in access to diagnosis, treatment, and care.

Learning objectives:
Participants will learn about how kidney service providers can prepare for disastrous events. They will learn about the challenges faced by kidney patients during disasters. From examples of past disasters, participants will be able to learn how individuals, institutions, and innovations can mitigate disaster impact.
