Session description:
Considering genetic testing accessibility improvement in recent years, it is necessary to understand the significance and indicator of genetic testing application. With the advancement of diagnosis of genetic kidney diseases, new drugs become available, clinical trials are carried out and interventions are performed to delay the decline of kidney function.
Learning objectives:
Update on diagnosis and treatment of Alport syndrome (common genetic glomerular disease). Learn about general principles of different genetic testing tools; and how and when to apply them. Address special issues to be before kidney transplantation.
