Martha Gershun is a nonprofit consultant, writer, and community volunteer with over 40 years of leadership experience in Fortune 500 corporations, start-up ventures, and non-profit organizations. She currently provides executive coaching, board development, and strategy consulting services to local and national non-profit clients. In 2018 Gershun donated a kidney at the Mayo Clinic to a woman she read about in the newspaper. She co-authored a book, Kidney to Share (Cornell University Press, 2021) with John D. Lantos, MD, about that experience and has given presentations at more than 35 transplant clinics, medical schools, and bioethics centers about the barriers facing living kidney donors. Gershun graduated with a B.A. from Harvard University and holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where she studied marketing, service operations, and customer experience. She earned a graduate diploma in Economics from the University of Stirling, Scotland, where she was a Rotary International Fellow.She is a Special Advisor to the Kidney Transplant Collaborative and serves on the Board of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Serving, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Western Missouri.
