Jorge Cerdá, MD, MS, FACP, FASN, is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albany Medical College. He has co-authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals and served as an editor of books in his field. He has presented in multiple national and international meetings, and is in the editorial board of the main nephrology journals. He has held local and national leadership positions in multiple societies including the NKF, ASN as a member of the AKI Advisory Committee, and the ISN, where he is currently Chair of the Advisory Working Group. He is a member of the Acute Disease Quality Initiative and the Acute Kidney Injury Network and Chair, AKI!Now ASN Initiative. His main research interests include AKI, Critical Care Nephrology, continuous renal replacement therapies and AKI Around the World, with a focus on improving AKI management in disadvantaged countries.
