He is a professor at Faculty of Medicine Sfax and nephrologist at the Sfax University Hospital, currently as Consultant on nephrology and medical coordinator at AGDUC Montelimar centre, France (Association Grenobloise de Dialyse des Urémiques Chroniques). He is an ESH-certified clinical hypertension specialist (2009) and FERA-Fellow of the European Renal Association (2016). He coordinates the professional master of hypertension organized by FMS and the continuing medical education program HTAcademy. He is researcher, former head of research unit 12ES14 and a member of Reseach lab LR19ES11 . He was president of the Association for the development of medical research, Tunisia. He is an elected member and deputy General Secretary of AFRAN (African Association of Nephrology), webmaster of its website and chair of the AFRAN web and media committee. He is member of the ISN-Africa Board and former member of Tunisian Society of Nephrology (general secretary), Francophone Society of nephrology board, ISN Renal Sister Centers committee and ERA-EDTA registry committee. He is current member of the scientific committee of the SFHTA, French Society of Hypertension; ESH Hypertension and kidney working group and SFNDT Committee on humanitarian nephrology research. He is member of several international societies, including SFNDT, SFHTA, ISN, ERA, ISH and ESH. Dr Jarraya was invited to give lectures in meetings of national, African and international societies including ISN, ERA EDTA, ESH, ISHD, SFHTA, SFMV, AFRAN. His area of interest includes Hypertension, Diabetic Nephropathy, CV and Renal Prevention, Primary Hyperoxaluria, Dialysis including Peritoneal dialysis and Home Hemodialysis.
