Sanjib Kumar Sharma (MBBS, MD, DM, FRCP, FISN, FACC) is Rector at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal and Professor of Internal Medicine and Consultant Nephrologist. Prof. Sharma is involved in number of international research projects, collaborations and partnerships including international registries, epidemiological studies, diagnostic studies, health system research, and clinical trials related to cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and NCDs. He also leads a community outreach program known as KHDC-Nepal program (Prevention, early detection and management of Kidney disease, Hypertension, Diabetes and Cardiovascular diseases). Additionally, he participates actively in several national and international technical and scientific organizations. He has published more than 175 articles and wrote booklets and chapters in books.
