Dr. Michelle Wong, MD, MSc, MPH, FRCPC, is a nephrologist, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology, Dept of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, and a clinical researcher at BC Renal. Dr. Wong’s research focuses on complications of chronic kidney disease, including protein-energy wasting, anemia, volume overload, and hypertension. She is actively engaged with the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), as a member of the North America and Caribbean Regional Board, the Emerging Leaders Program 2021 cohort, and the Kidney Health Professionals Working Group. She is a member of the Canadian Nephrology Trials Network Communications and Engagement Committee. At BC Renal, she is currently co-leading an interprofessional research program in renal nutrition.
