Dr Vincent Boima (MBchB, MPH, FWACP, FGCP, FISN, Cert Nephrology (SA) phy)Dr Vincent Boima is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School and a Consultant Nephrologist at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He is the head of the Nephrology Unit in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics and a member of the Africa Regional Board for Internal Society of Nephrology, a fellow of the Colleges of Medicine South Africa; West African College of Physicians; Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and the International Society of Nephrology. He is the deputy chair for the renal registry of the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN). He has over 50 publications in peer review journals. He is a principle investigator and co-investigator on many grants including the NIH funded H3-Africa Kidney Disease Research Network which looked at the association between APOL1 renal risk alleles and chronic kidney disease and Community Engagement in Biobanking and Genomics (NHGRI).
