Dr. McAdams DeMarco is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Epidemiology and the the Director of Clinical and Outcomes Research in the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on the intersection of aging and kidney failure. One of her career objectives is to better understand how novel aging metrics (frailty, cognitive function, physical function and quality of life) can help improve risk prediction in older patients initiating hemodialysis and undergoing kidney transplantation.
