Maria Regina Sosa Quiñonez is a Medical Doctor specialized in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She did her nephrology fellow in Nacional Institute of Medical Science and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán in Mexico City, as an ISN fellow. She is currently working in the Guatemalan Institute of Social Security as a Nephrologist. There. she is one of the cofounders of the clinic of Renal Health, is a member of the Teaching Committee for the Nephrology fellowship. She was president of the Guatemalan Association of Nephrology and is currently an active member of its Directive Board, where she has participated and organized in multiple academic sessions and is dedicated to promoting renal health and the early detection of renal disease. She is currently in the directive board of the Latin American Society of nephrology and hypertension.
