Frantisek Svara Czech Republic

I finished my medical education in 1994 on 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. Finishing a basic training in internal medicine, I decided to go on and focus my further career on nephrology. I had a great chance to be a fellow of ISN fellowship programme, what gave me a chance to spend 1 wonderful year in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. My mentors were Steve Chadban and Josette Eris and this was really a great and unforgettable experience both socially and professionally. After my return back to Prague I finished my nephrology qualification in 2004. As a nephrologist I worked in different positions within General University Hospital at Prague. Recently I combine public service in General University Hospital and 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University with a position of nephrology centre director in B.Braun. I focus my scientific interest on dialysis care, renal anaemia, phosphate metabolism and home dialysis methods.
