Professor (Dr.) Kazi Shahnoor Alam is currently working as Professor of Nephrology,Department of Nephrology, National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology,Dhaka,Bangladesh. He was born in 1970, became a medical graduate (MBBS) in 1995 from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka. He obtained fellowship in internal medicine (FCPS) from Bangladesh College of physicians and surgeons in 2004 and MD in nephrology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dhaka in 2006. He has keen interest in clinical nephrology and CAPD. He received ISPD Fellowship training on CAPD in Hong Kong and observership training on dialysis from Nebraska,USA. He is the proud receipient of “Asian Young Nephrologist Award” from Japan. He is an active member of Bangladesh Medical association (BMA), International Society of nephrology (ISN) and Vice president of Bangladesh Renal Association (BRA).He participated a number of international scientific conferences and he has about 20 publications in national and international journals.
