Sukanya Govindan India

Sukanya Govindan is a Senior Consultant in Pediatric Nephrology at MehtaMultispeciality Hospitals, Chennai. She has trained in paediatrics and nephrology in some of best medical schools in India and the United Kingdom. She is a past ISN fellow in Pediatric Nephrology and has won the ISN fellow best paper award at WCN 2019 and received the ISN CRP grant for research in neonatal AKI. Her academic and research interests are early detection of AKI, AKI therapeutics, low-cost renal replacement therapy for children and equitable access to kidney care for children.Her current focus is on developing a comprehensive low-cost chronic renalreplacement therapy program including renal transplants at her centre with the help of ISN-STC collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London and developing region specific renal food guides for children with kidney disease in collaboration with PRNT working group.
