Hans-Joachim Anders is a board-certified internist, nephrologist, rheumatologist, and professor of nephrology. He is chair of the Inner City Department of Nephrology at the University of Munich (LMU). His international research group is focussed on the role of innate immunity in injury and repair during kidney disease. He serves the ISN as a member of the Western European Regional board. In 2016, he organized the ISN Nexus meeting “Translational immunology in nephrology” in Berlin.
